Been informed of security incidents in the network, where files were deleted by users running on remote hosts.
Discussed security measures for the network, involving a redesign of the logical structure, migration from the Windows NT domain to Active Directory, separating the web applications cluster from the rest of the LAN, and instituting stricter network policies.
The Boss is concerned with the proliferation of Windows XP machines. Would have to assure him that with Active Directory, administering Windows XP is a lot easier than Windows 98.
